“Anyone who is inspired by music should start doing it.”
— Cory Simmons.
Together The Slow Boys have created their own genre of music.
The Slow Boys is a band of four. They officially formed as a band in December of 2016, and performed their first show February of 2017. The band started with just two members, Bill Sanders and Jack Boly. Shortly after, they were joined by Cory Simmons and Dylan Anderson.
“The first song we ever wrote was Two Tones and that’s on our first album,” Sanders said.
What The Slow Boys find important about their music is the collaborative production experience. Together, they decide who plays what role based on the song. Sanders said that they switch around instruments frequently during shows.
“Usually whoever sings the song is the one who either wrote it or like started off and we all help to finish it,” Sanders said.
Together the boys have created their own genre of music. A mix of different musical influences combined with their own personal style gives them a unique spin.
The band emphasized that they are in this together. After spending only a few minutes with them. Each member made it clear that they are thankful for not only each other, but for the support from their fans.
” [We are] thankful and grateful,” Simmons said.
You can catch them playing with The Black Lips at the Blueberry Hill Duck Room on March 10. Follow The Slow Boys on Instagram and Facebook @theslowboys for updates on upcoming shows and releases.
